I made the proposal for 7.6, because that is in development now. I
thought there is a better chance to get it accepted.

It's good to see the Composer and other tags being used, and I will
make use of this - it has my vote. However, I'm only on 7.5.1 and I'll
not get to 7.6 until it becomes official.
The thing that really bugs me for classical music displays is the
lyrics tag. I loaded all the CD booklet inform

That's clever, didn't know you could do that. I got carried away with
the excitement of the SB experience and rushed into the tagging without
sufficient research. Some of

Yes, in your case it would only show the composer separately, whom you
already have in the album title. Unless you have followed the composer
name by a unique separator character, it will be a lot of work to
re-tag everything.
I was not that happy with the three lines of information from the

I like the idea and congratulate you on it. Only problem is, I don't
think I can stand the idea of re-tagging all my music for the third
time! I currently use the composer tag, artist tag, in which I put
everything (orchestra, conductor, individual artists, choir), album

The new screen is an extra NP view. You can cycle through the available
NP screens on the controller by rotating the wheel half a turn. I was
so nasty to make the classical NP screen the default, but that might be
changed. (I seem to belong to a minority group with my taste for
classical music).

How does normal pop/rock music look like after the patch has been
applied ?
If you like to make it easy for people to install the patch, you might
want to consider making it available through the Patch Installer

I have modified the Now Playing screen for the Controller, so that it
becomes more useful for classical music.
The current two lines of text are in a lot cases not enough to show all
relevant information.
I have filed a bug http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=16561 ,
