As per the notes in the wiki, XSPF support in the future would be
useful. XSPF seems to be gaining traction in the open software players
like videolan.

Thanks, you make some good points, seems in some ways we are going in
opposite directions though.
I would like to go ahead and create some playlists, although some of
what I want to achieve could be done by re-tagging the original MP3's
for example with a track number, that isn't the direction I
I rarely hand select my playlists any more. My collection has gotten too
big, and Squeezebox makes it too easy to "discover" tracks I've
forgotten I have. Most often I use MusicIP to generate playlists based
on the "acoustic fingerprint" of one or more "seed" tracks. Kind of like

Are you using a network drive? Can you give us some information about your
setup? Or even post one of those playlists?
Michael

Slimserver and Musicmatch created playlists in a text editor and see
what the difference is between the two. You may be able to change the

I've created m3u playlists with Winamp and they played OK with SS.

been no follow up giving info on what is causing the misdirection.

you to a thread that seems to have the most detail (and frustrations)
regarding troubles with playlists and SS:
