I removed everything that I could find related to gnu radio, uhd, usrp and then
reinstalled. It still showed the old version. I then ran ldd on
uhd_find_devices and it showed libuhd.so.003 in /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/ so
after removing uhd again, i saw that library file was still there. I delet
You seem to have an old, residual version installed. Can you search for
packets that start with uhd and verify you've only got things installed
that come from the ettus repo?
Also, after adding the repository, you most probably have to update your
package cache.

Hi Marcus,
They do light up, mostly just the left LED. Just to confirm, I tried the
working USRP2 and it lights up the same exact way. Also the LEDs on the
Ethernet card on the host computer light up.

I have a USRP2 with WBX daughter board. Gnuradio and UHD were installed using
the attached script. I am running under Ubuntu 12.04.1 and GNU radio 3.6.3 was
installed. After doing some playing around with Gnuradio Companion I decided to
test out the hardware. I am able to ping the USRP2 but when
I am using gnuradio 3.6.2. I will check the gnuradio pages and see. Thanks.

If you are using a gigabit switch i.e your LAPTOP/PC is connected to
gigabit switch and USRP is connected to gigabit switch then there should
not be any problem. If you don't fine an extra cable, you can test Ethernet
