Well... unless Adobe is keeping the CF development team in the dark (which
could be possible I suppose), it appears Adobe is going to commit to version 11
and beyond. (As indicated in todays "What's new in CF10" Developer Week

One thing to note, CF on a 32 bit Windows server can only be allocated 1280MB
of RAM... even if the server has 4 GB of RAM... you can only allocate 1280MB.
Anything higher than that, the service will not start. This is not true for CF
8.01 running on 64 bit operating systems.

I'm on the hunt for a good Web Application Firewall for PCI Compliance
purposes. I've looked into Cisco ACE Web Application Firewall and a couple
others. Do you have any recommendations? Are there any software options that
will comply with the PCI Compliance guidelines (6 &

I use XML (as stated before) but for this single purpose, I agree with Charlie
that it would be much simpler and just as affective to use the INI file
functionality built into CF. You will use half the lines of code to do that vs
the XML option.
Still, XML is a nice buzz word and if you want t
I like to keep the application.cfc the same and use an XML file to store the
application variables and their values that differ on each machine. So, in the
application.cfc on application start, you can execute a component that can
parse the XML and set application scope vars accordingly.

When loading the page on your host, do a "View Source"... what is the HTML
result from your host? If you see they may be running an older
version of CF than you are locally.

Mark,
I use to do something very similar to what you are doing. I once
thought it was very handy to store CF code into the DB and then evaluate
it. Fun stuff! However, not so fun for your server. I would advise
against this if you are looping over a record set. As a rule, I would
