I have just bought an HP Notebook loaded with Windows 10 and I loaded
Ubuntu 16.04 as dual boot with Windows. Windows could see the wifi
connection but Ubuntu could not. I tried a number of fixes found on Ask

occasionally read emails from these accounts on-line, but they then
get picked up by T-bird when I fire it up.
If Pop3 is obsolete(?) and IMAP is the current thing, can I reconfigure
T-bird to IMAP and still delete emails once read?

On Kubuntu 16.04, before I upgraded, then I hit the X on Skype or
Spotify, they would minimize to an icon on the status bar. Gkrellm I
have always had showing as an open program on the panel. After my
upgrade, only Skype still performs the same. Spotify on the X
terminates. It is a new versio
tifier (if that's a valid descriptor),
select server settings, and untick the boxes relating to collecting emails.
Then test it!,
