good reports as is. But the idea of a dedicated AM set up sounds like a
nice idea and TX-4s are not hard to find nor expensive. So why not?

The MN-2000 is built like a tank, but adding for 160 is a real modification.
The WARC bnads, however are possible just by using the nearest band setting and
tuning - depends on the mismatch.
If only 300 watts or so is going into the tuner then go for the MN-4C to pick
up the 160 band -
Day dreaming again! I am working on the restoration of a nice TR-4C. One
of the great improvements on the TR-4CW was to offer the RIT. Looking at
the RIT board in the manuls makes it look like a snap to make one and add it
to the TR-4C and replace the NB off/on swicth with some sort of a 10
attention.
This is the kind of activity I should be doing in the Winter. Too many
weeds to pull outside :)

I am away from the shack, but my 220 set up is with the three wires as
per the DRAKE Manual. I went overboard on the outlet and plug - twist
type rated way beyond the needed amperage, but it ws in stock! The
breaker is rated as per the manual and only serves the L-4B.

I, too, have had one in use for years - the wireless type. The external
unit was sealed with the silicon caulking used ariund tubs. Never a

parts missing. Basically, and I knew it, the $43 (included shipping) was
buying a cabinet, the three pronged power cord, the main cord with cinch
connector, the fuse holder, the L-C's

I just completed my R-4B modifications. For those not previously tuned
in, I was interested in adding the Sherwood R-4C power supply and audio
