I reinstalled the handle-server, done the whole process again. This time I also installed Uncomplicated Firewall (ufw) in my Debian Lenny, configured the port number. We had a similar problem, only it was with Oracle. The first connection of the day, when we were still in set-up mode, would take two to three minutes to come up! Our solution was to set up a cron job to "wget" the home page every 10 minutes or so. Since then, no problem. --Tom -
