Great. You should be able to just grab the source tarball and install
pyserial to get going. CentOS has Python 2.4.x, which should be fine,
although there may be some bumps in the road. No need to change your
python version, just point them out if you hit issues

The nature of Python is that it's not compiled in the conventional
sense. But yes, it's using a Python 2.5.2 runtime

Okay I have the software installed, and when I use the csvdump.exe file. I am
not seeing a good gui. What kind of graphics are you using? Are they bitmap
graphics? If so can you make this a windows standard diwlogue? This would
make it easier for those who are totaly blind to use.

Are you using Python 2.5.2 for your compiling?
I'll take a look at this program and thanks.
More on D-rats later. Still having issues and need to send you my settings
and all.

With the pending landfall of Tropical Storm Dolly, the net is being placed on
standby. Repeaters may connect to the reflector and standby in the case
assistance is needed. Talking during idle periods is allowable. If any
emergency or priority traffic occurs, all stations should standby and assi

Assuming you're on Windows, there is a csvdump.exe in the zip file. Run
that and you'll get a

It depends on the radio. If you have an IC-91AD or IC-92AD, you can use

speciffic cabling, or can I use the standard cable that plugs in to the data

Hi all,
I've been working on a tool that aims to accomplish the following goals:
- Program as many ICOM radio models as possible with a single app
- Be open-source
- Be cross-platform
- Support open data formats
The result is CHIRP (CHIRP Handles Icom Radio Programming) and is

Nate,
My thoughts exactly. My 91 was programmed for what I needed out of the box with
nothing else.
Usually resets are for when the rig has a fault problem or you sell it and you
have some confidental stuff in it.
My computer has a reset every time I turn it on, and sometimes when I am doing

You should re-phrase that: Software patents in the U.S.
The U.S. is currently at a serious competitive disadvantage for raw
engineering talent and especiall

Heck, what is this, Windows? Reboot early, reboot often? LOL.
Never done a reset, don't plan on doing a reset

The issue was brought to the general attention of the community. Emails
have been sent to the IPR holders to see if they are willing to allow
amateurs to use the MELP technology on an individual/non-product basis.
We'll see what develops.
I think the community is just trying to do the right thing
I think D-STAR fans will be interested to note that the Windows/sound-card
