I've been running 9.0, 9.0.4 and 9.1 on my 2400c since the OS versions came out so there is no inherent problem with any of them. Startup Doubler v2.54 and v 2.6 are compatible with 9 and 9.0.4. Have you tried booting off a Disk Tools floppy for 7.6, 8 or 8.1? I keep 8.1 handy just for your kind
