Hi Hams
please apologize, but I have still my problems regarding qsling. I
would like to send every stn for the first mode / band QSO a qsl. So I choose DX
allband/mode. What I noticed is, that the domestic cards will not be marked.
What can I do that every new station gets a card? How can I
Hello all.
Is this a bug ?
I have been using DX4WIN version 1.2 since 1996 - was very pleased with
this software and decided to upgrade to 8.02.
Now 8.02 version is installed.
I discovered that F2 key doesn't work as it should.
If go to Preferences F2 key and put a mark only for MARK QSO
Which is exactly why it's folly to calibrate your rotor to anything
other than true North.

I saw a note earlier where someone was having problems with the F2 key
operation; just catching up on QSL chore; and I think I have found a bug
(=undesirable feature!)
In DX4Win 7.06.02 :

F2 Key has Mark QSO as confirmed box checked; Labels drop down set

Lost a good feature in the v 8.02.
In the old version V1.2, when use Real-time ( F9) or Off-time entry and
SSB mode - rstS and rstR fields set to
two digit (59)
After entry in the field rstS two digits (e.g. 59) the cursor jumps
to the next field rstR - this was in the old 1.2 version.

This bug has been reported several times. Paul has not fixed it yet.

DX4WIN beam headings are referenced to the geographic North Pole - 90
degrees North Latitude. There is no way for DX4WIN to know the heading
to magnetic north from your particular QTH. I am not aware of ANY
program that can do this.
What DX4WIN should have, and I can't find it at the moment,
I think Paul still has some work to do around the F2 key.

It has been this way in DX4WIN for some time. There are many cases
where you need to enter a 3-digit RST for SSB contacts, i.e.:
Aurora: 57A

I believe offset can be found in QSO window rotator/parameters/.

I want to do some analysis in Excel with my logbook, but there is no way to
see the distance/heading fields in the logbook window and it does not export
to any logbook files. Is there a way to get this information exported?
Thanks

You do have to change ports under preferences... I assume you have done
that... the program doesn't ask anything. Older versions ignored port
numbers greater than 8. I can think of no reason why the latest version
would not work unless the com port is above 32.

Hello,
I have been using the DX4Win program since it first came out on the market.
Great logging program.
One of the earlier updates, Version 6.xxx, I noticed a problem with the new
update on the CW Keyboard. I use to be able to change the CW Speed with the
plus or negative key on the
oops... sorry wrong reflector...

Hi Franz,
I have excatly same problem here, DX all band/mode marks everything else
than OH qso's (ie your own dxcc). I think there is no easy way to solve
this, maybe you can make some custom award and mark domestic qso's with
it, but I am not sure if it's possible at all, as I am not expert with
Jan,
I hope that there is a solution for that, because it should be a basic item.
Let's be optimistic and see, whether there is a simple solution for this task.
