I've used OmniPay a number of times for cheques to Australia, New
Zealand and the UK, and I've never had any problems. In fact, the
service each time was almost "fast" :-)

Have any Australia e-gold users sold e-gold to Omnipay and received their
payment by cheque or wire transfer?
It seems like cheque is the safest way to go and most cost effective since
wire transfer costs US$50 and can take as long to get into your account as
a cheque posted by airmail.

Yep remember your name. I still have the gold feever and have
been publishing The Ormetal Report fince 1996 for that same
reason.
Now on e-gold downtime... Well whe did get more than usual since
the end of August.. E-gold is growing with pain. But I think (hope)
we are near the end
