Just got my maldol whip with 40 and 20 meter coils.
Need some suggestions on how to use them efficiently. I will not be
walking with them, got to use my ears for things like crossing streets and
dodging college students.
Also, where do you get a cable with a female b&c on one end?

Is there any tricks (or improved techniques) on adjusting the SWR bridge in
the tuner? I just finished a tuner and everything checked out and calibrated
very easy. But I may have a SWR that agrees on my Daiwa in the line 16" away
or it may be as high as 4:1 on some bands even when the tuner says

I observed that sometime, 1 out of 100, when I turn Z1 to change or

What is it wrong with the Z1 encoder, bad or de

Michael,
It seems that you may have placed the passband too low for a 2.5 kHz filter.
For any width filter, the low frequency corner of the passband should be
close to 300 Hz. When you install the 2.5 kHz width, set frequency markers
in Spectrogram for 300 Hz and 2800 Hz, then set the BFO to

A number of Elecraft users downloaded the HFProp program I released a

Hi,

2.0 to 2.5khz. The filter setting for TRX is OP1 in receive mode with lsb and
seems with spectrogram full in range between 0.2 and 2.5khz.
What is to adjust?
tnx for your help

On my first K2 I soldered in a 10 turn 1k pot so did not go as high as 1200.
Have not tried it on the second K2, but will probably give it a try this
weekend.
Funny you would mention the KAT100. Built one last night and building
another this weekend. The CAL went OK on this one.
