Ward, From your numbers, it does not seem that you have any excessive loss through the xtal filter. First, check soldering, then check soldering, and when you have completed that, check the soldering. That is the most common cause of problems. It may simply be that your BFO frequencies are

Hi It depends. If you have an older K2 before s/n 3000 then you may improve things with a new crystal set. There is also no advantage to having all 14 crystals matched. The 7 in the CW filter need to match and the 7 on the SSB board need to match but the CW and SSB do not need to match each oth

Hi The unimodules were just male headers with jumpers that duplicate the Wx jumpers on the RF board. I made a set of them for troubleshooting a K2 radio. For example on the SSB module you need two three pin headers with pin 1 jumpered to pin 3 and a 12 pin with a .001 (102) cap from pin 7 to 12
