Michael, In the menu, you will find a parameter for compensating the frequency settings for each transverter. OTOH, if your problem is only the difference between the transmit and receive frequencies, I would suspect that the same problem esists on the lower level K2 as well. 73, Don W3FPR

That could be simply a normal frequency error in the local oscillator crystal. The K2 firmware includes an adjustment to set the frequency exactly on. To access this command, enable the K2 SECONDARY MENU for the transverter number you have assigned to your XV144, hold MENU to move the cursor to On

I just built the XV144 Tranverter and discovered that it is 1.05 KHz off when receiving and transmitting. I am using it with a K2/100/K60XV and don't think I did anything wrong. Does anyone know why it is off by this amount? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Michael N2ZDB

I like the 150 kHz range on 30m for having WWV and on 20m (and 15m to some extent) for big DX contests. While the tuning may be somewhat sensitive, it is not difficult to control with a gentle touch.
