Dom - I had the same problem. I turned the rig on. LSB, 75 mtrs - - No
indication on the s-meter when I tuned the VFO, the frequency would not
change. I unplugged everythingmicrophone, key, antenna. Then I
turned the K2 back...all back to normal. The problem was my straight key.

I've just redone the freq cal using WWV CAL PLL on my ol' K2 #1411.
Getting ready to do CAL FIL for CW filters then will do CAL FIL for SSB
filters using my K2SB manual.
However, looking at the latest K2 manual, I noticed that the CW settings
for CAL FIL are different than my version of the K2
I have recently purchased an SB1000 am expecting an antenna tuner in
another week or so. My question relates to connecting the K2/100 to the
amplifier. There is a keying connection from J7 on the K2/100. I
assume this should work.
SB-1000 - requires contact closure or sink of +12 volts DC
I'm concerned that my SSB output is not matching the set power level.
Reviewing the archive on a search by ALC, I found this note. It's been
years since I've looked to see what scopes are available. Any
recommendations - remembering that cost is a factor.maybe a Scope
that uses the PC.
Here's an interesting website promoting amateur homebrewing, QRP,
melting solder. There are occasional references to Elecraft products. I
downloaded some of these podcasts x'ferred them to a CD for listening
down the road. Each podcast is about 40 minutes long.

My soldering station which is an off-brand has bitten the dust so I'm
looking for a new, name-brand, IC-safe, temp controlled tip station. Any
recommendations for model...Hakko or Weller? I'm hoping to keep my
expenditure to $125 or less.
Need to get the solder heated up back on the DSP
I'm getting a lot of endorsements for the Hakko soldering station. If I
buy one of these, I'm thinking I'll get a couple of additional tips. It
comes with the 900M-T-1.6D tip. Your recommendations for additional
tips???

PeteLooks like Easter weekend is pretty slow for getting help with
your problem. Guess the tekkies are out of pocket. Unfortunately, I have
not gone down the DSP road yet, so I'm not much help. In fact, I ordered
the DSP accessory the A to B upgrade for my K2/100 (#1411) on Friday.
I recently purchased an Astron SS-30 power supply for use with my K2
internal battery and/or K2/100 configuration. I need to know if there is
a voltage adjustment inside the SS-30 so that I can adjust the output to
the recommended 14.0 V +/- 0.2 for the K2 (13.7 V +/- 0.2 internal
Ck'd the voltages..
SS-30 output = 14.2 volts
K2 Internal Voltage = 13.7 volts
No adjustments necessary.
