Dom - I had the same problem. I turned the rig on. LSB, 75 mtrs - - No indication on the s-meter when I tuned the VFO, the frequency would not change. I unplugged everythingmicrophone, key, antenna. Then I turned the K2 back...all back to normal. The problem was my straight key. It

I have recently purchased an SB1000 am expecting an antenna tuner in another week or so. My question relates to connecting the K2/100 to the amplifier. There is a keying connection from J7 on the K2/100. I assume this should work. SB-1000 - requires contact closure or sink of +12 volts DC
