I've soldered it and before I install the LCD?
Advice here surely appreciated!

no way of knowing there was a G11.
The reason I became embroiled in this is because after my inventory, I
ended up with six .001 capacitors and no designations for them. G11
fixes that problem.
I did not mean to cause any confusion here.

I thought there might be some photos on the Elecraft Website but either
there's none there, or I didn't look in the right place.
Thanks!

OK. I've heard all I need. We can end the thread. I'm not cleaning
anything! My instincts were apparently correct. Thanks to everyone who
replied both on and off list. And the Elecraft Reflector proves its
value once again!!!

Does anyone know the basis of the distance reported under Details in
QRZ.com entries?
I recently worked HB9FBG on 500 milliwatts with 6 regular AA Eveready
batteries (at least that's what my inline wattmeter said) on a 40 meter
dipole up in my attic. The distance from me to HB9FBG was
This Dale Putnam fellow responded to my for sale add last week on
this list as follows, and I quote him:

Hey
It has been brought to my attention that the real Dale Putnam is a FB

apologize to the real Dale, and the rest of the listers, for implying
that the 'real' Dale tried to scam me out of a KXB3080.
I looked his call up in QRZ.com
I have a new, unbuilt KXB3080 option for sale to the first reasonable
offer. This includes pre-wound toroids from the ToroidGuy.
I managed to construct a real sweetheart of a KX1 (probably some
combination of my dumb luck + Elecraft's great manual) and I've decided

I consider myself average in all respects, so I'll bet I'm not the
only KX-1 owner who has fallen into the trap of underestimating the
capabilities of this little jewel.
Until a couple nights ago, I used my KX-1 like my other QRP rigs, both
commercial and homebrew. I kept my expectations
Hello again fellow listers. I'm the guy who wondered whether an
inventory was important a couple weeks ago.
Well...yes it was! It made my warm up project, KX1 #2411, go very
smoothly with no errors and no desoldering.
I just had my first QSO, running on six AA alkaline cells and hooked
up
May I once again thank everyone for expressing such enthusiasm toward
helping me. The advice keeps pouring in both within and outside of this
reflector. I guess you Elecraft builders love your rigs and have
developed a very supportive network. I hope I can contribute someday.
For now I'm
Hello. My name is Stan WB2LQF and I am a new lister, having just
received my K2 kit yesterday.
My question is, Do you folks think it is really necessary to
detail-inventory the Elecraft K2 product??
The packaging was impressive. The task of a complete and detailed
inventory looks time
Thank you to all who responded both on- and off- list. It was very
helpful to receive different insights. It was apparent that I am not
the only builder who has struggled with the inventory issue, so I guess
I had a legitimate query.
We can end this thread now. I know what I'm going to do.
