and haven't found what I need yet.
My new K3S just found its way to my home about 24 hours ago, and at this
point I'm trying to get it set up with WSJT-X and a Mac, using a single
USB cable between the radio and the comput

I seem to recall 1.5.x had some issues with Hamlib and as a result some of
the PTT code was broke.
If you are running 1.6.0 I think the Hamlib stuff is fixed and you can use
K3/KX3

I use VOX for all digital modes, including RTTY, JT65, JT9, FSK441,
ISCAT. Works great, even with an amp, because most rigs, including K3
have an internal delay after keying an amp and before TX begins. Tha
