That is a good idea! Did you get a touch screen sized buttons on your popup?

I use Touchy on my lathe and Mill.

I'm not sure how you could pretend to be root in a running Python program.

I was considering setting up the "Shutdown" button require
I no longer use Touchy on any machine and use QtPyVCP and all of my
GUI's have an "Exit App" button which I find very helpful when trouble
shooting anything. It's much handier to close LinuxCNC with the touch
screen than dig out my keyboard/touch pad. When I used to use Touchy I

I find it fiddly to shut down the PC / System using the touch-screen.
Noting an unused space on the Startup page of the GUI, I am wondering if it
is worth considering adding a shut-down button (probably with a yes/no
dialog to make sure)
Thoughts?

I am running Touchy on my milling machine, and like it. I have
miss-touched enough buttons, for example, to appreciate the design
decision to require a physical control to be used to make the machine
move.
One slightly strange thing I found yesterday doing some semi-manual
jog-then-mdi-feed work.
Will the new touchy line search feature be released shortly?
thanks

I have coded a patch to TOUCHY that calls whatever file is

just like AXIS does. It does this after it loads touchy.hal.
