Digi-Key AE1374 from Assmann, this is good for IEEE-1284 (EPP mode)
as well as all other purposes.

I have a Haas 5C rotary indexer. It can be programmed (kind of like
you program a VCR) to perform a angular motion upon pressing of a
button. It also has a facility of a "remote button", so that the
button can be "pressed" by the CNC control.
My question is what are the facilities in EMC to handle
Hi
I think repeat -ability is important.
I used Hal Scope to tune motor and everything work good- Click Single-
jog 0.1 and see the result of Xoutput and Pid.0.error.
Today after I click Single line runs trough without of stop. It should
stop, and after I jog it will trigger move and show r
I think I just screwed it into the parallel port on the back of the
computer when I tested one. I might have needed a gender changer I can't
remember. Ray was going to send it back but I think he forgot so I'm
just going from memory.

I'm happy to announce the next bugfix release of emc2, version 2.4.4.
The new packages are available for Ubuntu 10.04 and 8.04 in the package
repositories. If you installed 2.4.0 or later, this will be presented
as an upgrade. If you have 2.3.5 or earlier, it will not automatically
be installed

Hi Mark,
I guess they intended you to mount the board using the DB25
connectors - remove the tapped nuts, cut a DB25-shaped hole
in a panel and pop the nuts back to hold the board to the
panel. It the metal of the panel is not too thick - i.e. it
is like the metal strip at the back of a PCI
Ries,
I posted a link in my reply to Dave, which has a picture of the
board with connectors. The problem is the placement of the DB 25
male and female connectors on opposite sides of the board. Probably
makes the design of the pcb easy, but it sure makes it difficult to
mount the durn thi
Dave,
Thanks for the suggestions. Problem with the board the way
it is, is the DB25 connectors are on opposite sides of the board. A
much better design would have had the DB 25 connectors mounted on the
same side, so that you or I could mount the board to the control box
case, and h
I am not sure the shape of the board,
buy you can buy little plastic and metal boxes that have
little slides. You simple slide it into place and put the lid back on.
You could also make from metal or plastic these slides easily yourself.
I wouldn't use glue or tape, because that's just messy.

I don't know why people make boards without holes but here are some
additional ideas...
3M mounting tape? (Available at Walmart) Clips that hold the board by
the edges? Use Electrical tape to tape it to ?? Hot Melt glue ??

Got meself an early birthday gift - and MPG3 and a CNC4PC C22
nterface board to go with so's I can plug it into my second parallel
port. My question is, since there ain't no holes in the board, what
do you guys that have this setup do with the damn C22 board? Stuff
it in a shoe box? Heat shr
I've been slowly configuring my new PC to take over the reins of
running my machine, and noticed a minor gotcha in Stepconf. This is
off the latest Live CD - Ubuntu 10.04 and EMC2 v2.4.3. When the 2nd
parallel port is activated in the wizard, the "in" or "out selection
results in the opposite
