That's wierd too, I have certainly never had EMC2 ask for a password,
though a few of the developery
Sounds like you have something misconfigured with your homing.
I use a touchscreen, and never type on the keyboard unless I want to do
'administration'.
Authentication? I don't have any of these problems. Turn it on, select the
G code, and hit start.

Does the EMC2 screen show axis3 is homed? If not then you have not homed the
machine completely. You will continue to get the message until axis3 is
homed. EMC2 requires all configured axes to be homed prior to running.
