To expand on Peter's remarks:
The open loop gain of a system is the product (GH) of the forward
(G) and feedback (H) transfer functions.
You can alter static scaling terms without changing the
P,I,D values as long as the loop gain (GH) _product_ is the same.
The encoder_scale (units/encoder_cou

I am struggling with the file selector button Glade widget.
I don't seem to be able to figure out how to extract the selected
filename as a string into code, or how to set up a file filter.
Has anyone managed to do that?

To be fair, it was only ever described as "hard" not "impossible" and
I think you have made some changes to the underlying structure?

Exactly, Sam! In fact, I would like to see it modular in such a
way as allowing more than one interpreter and motion generator
going at the same time (addf motion-controller.0, addf motion-controller.1 etc).
This would make it possible to run multispindle/multiturret lathes, and

I decided to ignore the conventional wisdom that it cannot be done, and gave it
a try.
here are some prelimary results:

Yes, Extremely happy! :-)
GladeVCP, Gscreen, and Touchy are a huge steps forward.

Hi,
Time to give my point of view (really interesting threat).
IMHO, stopping inside the next code block is absolutely not needed. What
is needed, is that all processed lookahead line are stocked inside the
real-time part (EMC) and not in Axis or any other application. (EMC will
eat as many li
Hi,
I never used them, but a respectable seller in europe sell them for
typical CN use:

Again, I never use them, so, other advice would be welcome.

Hi all,
I have a servo motor axis configured angular with a relatively low
resolution encoder / gear ratio. One revolution of the shaft is 19600
counts, or 54. counts per degree. I was having a very difficult time
tuning it at 54 counts per degree, so I set the counts per engineering

An easily customizable GUI would be nice. You very often need to be able
to add or remove GUI features depending on the machine. This and jog
while paused are the main reasons why I still use Mach on my mill.
