So, it turns out this isn't a disk problem at all but a problem in our Rockhopper python interface that I have running by default on these machines. It is calling halcmd repeatedly and if Linuxcnc tries to launch during this time bad things happen. This is one of the items on the agenda at Wi

Another option is to get a copy of 10.04 and install that (that should give you the format option). Then download the LinuxCNC install script and do the install via the script via an internet connection. I think I did that the last time I did a fresh install and that worked fine. Dave On 6

I started to test IRAM module with MESA 5i23. I use TPEN6_6 firmware and bldc module in "n" mode. I am rotating it slowly (setp bldc.0.frequency 0.2). PWM outputs are true sinusoidal (checked on scope), but motion has some smooth (non-linear) parts and stop parts. BTW, I can't use bldc "n6"
