Nice one Stuart - just a bit big for my watch parts!! I'm interested in
5-axis but haven't even managed to get 4 under proper control yet - what
software are you using, I assume you aren't programming it all by hand?
Shame about your difficulty aiming your squirter - must be an old-age
problem

Interesting part, would have liked a good view of the surface finish
after it was done.
(Probably can't, due to proprietary parts.) But, certainly looks like
it is work
Nice demo Stuart. It just rubs in what most of us can't do, at least
with a single setup.
Programmed in APT right?

Well, not to answer for Stuart, but the interfaces are the Pico
Systems PPMC board set, which is a modular set of boards that
plug into a motherboard. There is a 4-axis encoder counter,
4-axis 16-bit DAC an

I've run my stepper based plasma at 400 IPS acceleration and 500 IPM rapids.
It's
very impressive as well for a Nema 23 stepper system...

Hi Jon,
On the other end of the scale I once set up a test bed with a MT30H4
SEM servo motor being driven by a 1525BR
servo amp at 165 V (pretty hot) using the ppmc board set. The SEM had
a 2.5" dia by 2.5" piece of bar stock as a
flywheel. Accel was set at 400 in/sec/sec (slightly above 1 G).
