Thanks to everyone for your advice. It turned out to be a non-issue, as I brought my gear to the morning games and the "borrower" didn't show up. After shooting 2 games in 116 degree heat, I opted not to bring my camera to the afternoon finals...he was there, but neither of us mentioned the camera
