Since most of the pros go digital, there is no real need even for
the 1V.
For me the best way would be to make a pro body with interchangeable

Hi, I have a question since I am not as familar with Canon EOS bodies as much
as I am with my older Olympus gear.
I have an opportunity to pick up a modified Canon 400mm FD 2.8 that has been
set up to shoot with a (EOS) T-mount . I have read that with some
tele-converters on some EOS bodies, t

Very good question. I've been asking myself that since the 1D was released
(I guess I was just trying to find a justification to buy a 1V :-). My guess
is that the EOS 1V will be one of the last pro film cameras made by Canon,
but not the last. I came to this conclusion for several reasons:

Hi there,
I'm about to take the plunge and buy a Canon D-60. No questions about it
really, but I'll have to upgrade my old flash (430ez) to the 550ex.
When using my old 430ez off-camera with older 10s bodies, I find it performs
flawlessly. The only reason I'm upgrading is to maintain compatibi

I've got the 100-300 and I'm very happy with it, especially for the price. I
paid about $200 three years ago, and it's never let me down. I agree that it
could be a bit sharper when it's near 300mm, but I've never noticed anything
that would make an image unsellable, in my opinion.

I was a Nikon man. Had an N70 and was thinking of upgrading to an N80 or
F100. I left Nikon and came to Canon because of the lenses. I got an EOS 3.

I chose Canon equipment many years ago because I started looking
through a Photography Buyer's Guide and Canon came first in the alphabet
of all the SLR's. I have never regretted this decision.

I have owned both lenses and currently use the 75-300 IS. The 100 to 300mm is
internal focusing (non- rotating front barrel), and this produces much faster
focusing. It is also easier to use with a polarizer. The 75 to 300mm is less
expensive, except for the IS function, which really does work

I think you mean the CP-E2.
It takes 6 aa cells, and has its own high-voltage generator built in.
These are used
What will you use it for mainly?

I have the need for fast recycle time but don't understand the advantage
of this unit. It uses AA cells . . . just like the 550ex alone. What's
the advantage?

I am planning to buy one of Canon EF 75-300mm or Canon EF 100-300mm. Can anyone advice
as to the pros and cons of either?
Thanks,
Lokesh

Perhaps another system to change the AF point.
With a good pad for example.
