I am wondering how the very high price of the 1Ds can be justified. The housing is similar in cost to the 1V + battery grip which goes for about 2k. The additional electronics, back LCD, software etc is maybe $1k max. Then add another $1k for the sensor to get to a total of $4k. Do not subtract the

What I do not like about the EOS-20D: - Why a different grip from the 10D and D60??? Why different batteries? The BP-511 worked just fine, I never ran out of batteries on my D60! Different grip because the 20D has a different size. The 20D is supposed to have longer battery life. - No interchang
