I have the same thing happen. A work around for me is to start up
Mozilla, then click the links. It seems to work fine if Mozilla is
already running.
I'm pretty sure it's a Mozilla problem.

It is very hard trying to select something from a drop-down list with

into its calendar instead of only offering to open it in gnome-cal?
Would a mime-type change do it, or is it too different from iCalendar to
work?
