Recovery Storage Group is your friend in the event that you need to recover

now it works.
So, since I've never used incremental logging before, is this by design? As in,
ALL the storage groups need to have Circular Logging disable, or incremental

I start off by not deleting it...
Then, I have my DR server handy to practice DR on when the need
arises and
get my mailbox back that way...

Excellent point, however we have managers who make a habit out of asking for
mailboxes from 2 years ago. I don't delete mailboxes right away but I do
after time since I am not running enterprise.

Yes that right if you press shift and delete a mail
then it is a hard delete but there is a registry entry
which lets you recover mails that have been hard
deleted without the need to restore it from the backup
