This has been a feature since "BES 3.5" days, I believe --
If you reply to an email to a sender, (not a Group though), I think it gets
added to this "list".

I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered it. I wouldn't call it an
Outlook nickname equivalent though. It just caches the names you have
looked up... Upon a reboot or crash it would seem you have to
