I loaded enlightenment in 8.02b just fine. I did
notice the lack of menu generation on the left button,
but you can still access the application menu via the
middle button (or 2+3).

Hi,
Since Mandrake 7.1 (I'm using 7.2 now) I've had a problem using Gnus with
XEmacs. The second time starting up Gnus, XEmacs reports a "Wrong type
argument: chararcterp, 116" error and Gnus fails to start. Closing XEMacs,
deleteing ~/.newsrc.eld, and restarting XEmacs enables Gnus to start

Sorry, Civilme. I should have clarified a letter better with my

MandrakeFreq. By grabbing the "unsupported" directory without filtering
for i586 binaries, I'm prevented from updating my 7.2 installation to

Anyone have any ideas where I might be going wrong

Base Mandrake kernel 2.2.17 works perfectly with
the card...
boots into /dev/hde1
When I upgrade the kernel to 2.4.x ( I tried 0, 2,
and 3), when booting up,
it gives this error:

two times. Once when the bash shell is started and then again when it

Its ok to have the i686 rpms in the version, just don't (whoever)
remove the i586 ones, just add the i686 and leave
the i586 IN there so one can install it on either machine
and then everyone will be happy and the
version won't give you any poop about installing, it will
just install with no probl

I'm trying to use Kdevelop 1.4 for KDE 2.1 and follow a tutorial on building

it says to edit the slot, but, the "Edit Slots" is greyed out...

I'm not so
The one thing that I'm noticing throughout this particular discussion is
that everyone is blaming Mandrake and not looking at the fact that the
K6-2 and K6-3 are actually i586 chips.
How can Mandrake make their distribution recognize the K6 series as i686
chips when they will just cough and sput
So does this mean that the next ver of Mandrake will
install on my AMDK6-400 without any trouble just like
7.2 ?
If not I will be VERY upset
