BTW, is the TUI install in 8.2 going to be better than in 8.1 (and all
other previous releases)? I was trying to do a similar install on a P100
box of my own (just wanted server -- minimal with no X et al) and had a
hell of a time setting up the filesystems (including making them all
reiserfs).

I got several problem with xine and mplayer with mdk
8.1 with my friend machine.
Xine; compile latest version and install ok; but crash
the whole system in my friend comp (intel pentium 3 S3
savage4 rev 2 according to the XFree86 log file in
/var/log ) not leave any messages at all the sys

from accessing the internet @ some time during the day & then put them back
on when users need to check their email.
I'm using Mandrake 8 & also using the built in
firewall/ router
can anyone help??

sorry guys I found it its ipip, the only thing that didnt make sense was
that this needs to be loaded early in the boot up as if its left to the
end an ifconfig tunl0 up just dont work

I've just installed the 2.4.16 kernel, and for ham use all the module
required are there , so this lazy person need'nt rebuild the kernel for
