Good advice, Nina. I'm going to make a big effort to do just that,
before I end up driving myself (and my furkids) crazy :)

Basil's goodbye head bump to Peanut is so sad and sweet. I'm glad that
Ashley and Basil have each other, and of course glad they have you! As
you say, the paranoia is natural... When I'm feeling that way about
someone in particular, I look around and watch the others that I know
are healthy.
Thank you, Beth.

Hi Nina,
Ashley & Basil seem to be doing well. I think our furkids often
have a better understanding of life than we do & they know that Peanut was
ready to graduate into the next world. During Peanut's final hours, Basil
went up to her & very cheerfully headbutted Peanut twice, like she

Hi Yvonne,
I must have been getting Peanut mixed up with another kitty on the
list. I didn't realize that she was 18 years old! My goodness that's a
long life, I'm sorry so little time of it was spent in your care. It's
so sad that it took her so long to find you and the sort of home that

Yvonne,
Yes I believe she did too. Many, many times when I can't find

Hi Nina,
Peanut came to us mid-July, with 2 of her companions from a bad
situation. The other 2 gained weight, but Peanut did not. She was
obsessed with food, though, & she ate, so my first suspicion was hyper-T, as
she had already tested negative for intestinal parasites. I never imagi
