I think your vet is a quack. Crackers cannot have
full blown leukemia if he is showing no symptoms. DO
NOT PANIC. Calm down. Crackers is going to pick up
on you being upset and it will upset him too. The
best thing you can do is calm down and find a better

opinions about it's effectiveness, but anecdotically, I've always heard
that it does help them feel better, if not resolve symptoms. Probably
the reason your vet has suggested it not be given to asymptomatic cats
is because there is the possibility of developing immunity to it'
