Dear list,
I apologize if this has been discussed before.
I use the Mac edition of Outlook Express 5 version 5.02 (2106) and have the
messages from this list exclusively routed into a separate folder. If my
memory doesn't fail me the result of sorting the posts from this list by

Hi all:
I have been using the JAZZ font for about 7 years. The installation
instruction was to use the true type version if my printer didn't have
1200 dpi. I would like to switch to the postscript version. I am using
JAZZ font 3.7 on a Mac with Finale 2003. The 3.7 was e mailed to me

Hi
I'm scanning some music TIFF files using Fin2k2b MIDISCAN function on
the File menu. When Finale imports the scan it puts the music into a
US Letter page size. I've tweaked all of my Finale default files (eg
Maestro Font Default, SmartScoreDefault, etc) from US Letter to A4. I

yes, the question is about specific notes over several measures. e.g.,
extracting certain notes that got missed in a split note transcription.
in short, it would be nice to utilize the note mover tool over many measures.
it is no big deal really, except i would put that on my wish list for fu

Equally irritating is that Mass Mover (oops, "Edit") can't copy them
either, even though it professes to be able to.

hm... yes i see your point re touring bands etc., but the notation is very basic in
the majority of the cases, in some cases anachronistic and diluted reproductions of
traditional music, and
what i find a pain is that when you select, with the time sig tool, all instruments
for a given measure, and apply a metatool, only the staves _not_ defined to have
independent time sigs are changed to the new time sig. all the staves defined to
have independent time sigs have to be clicked o

Damn it, I did it again! Sorry for sending private messages to the list.
What is going on is that I created a macro, ctrl-R, for replies to
the Finale list, but I still need to hit cmd-R when replying to
anybody else, and in these two cases I have absent-mindedly hit the
wrong key combination.
That is the nature of independent time signatures -- each staff so
designated can be in any time signature you want, so the program doesn't
know if you want independent or dependent time signatures at any
particular location.
Have you explored the prospect of staff styles so you can apply one

They have this very effective way with words. I am amazed that this phrase
is used in the field of diesel fuel injection.
If the same methods were applied to engraving, they'd spam the world saying:
"We can always click your composition to pieces."
