[Finale] Music spacing bug - FinWin2003a

2002-12-28 Thread Richard Yates
Hello Coda, There seems to be a problem with: Options / Document options / Music Spacing / Manual Positioning. The choices 'Ignore' and 'Incorporate do not seem to work as they used to. In situations in which Finale misspaces seconds in different layers (e.g. when accidentals are involved) and

I frequently work with 11 X 17 scores. If I am using scroll view I set the two monitors horizontally so I can see the maximum number of measures. In page view I set the monitors (virtually) at the vertical and I can view an entire page at 100%. I use a trackball with acceleration which means that

I heartily agree to having a Multi-Monitor setup... I'm using an Nvidia MX440 and 2 17 Monitors. I have an article on my website regarding this if interested. :) http://hale.dyndns.org/modules.php?name=Newsfile=articlesid=19mode=o rder=0thold=0 Jim Hale --- 'The OS Tells The PC What To Do With

When I played 4'33 last year, I did an internet search on the piece and found all sorts of stuff. There's an interesting article by Larry J. Solomon at http://www.azstarnet.com/~solo/4min33se.htm Here's a short quote from it: Liberties are sometimes taken with the music, from performing it as

The thing as a whole still doesn't want to retrograde, though I was able to reverse many individual staves. It seems to me that the ones that won't reverse are those which I used as sources for Mass-Mover copies (NB: not mirrors) to other staves. Any further suggestions? to wh. Dennis:

By the way, operate all this on a copy of the score, and then paste the retrograde in place. That way you won't have to destroy your *real* score all its smart shapes. Dennis I'm doing the reverse of that. I saved an Ur-copy of my score as backup, then in my active version copied the existing

[Finale] What would happen if I plug THAT into THIS?

Happy Christmas, listsibs. Wandering though my local music emporium this morning, I chanced upon a MIDI keyboard controller, with a compass of about two octaves. Since I am contemplating loading Finale onto a (windows based) laptop to take along to libraries when I consult volumes of music that

Hi, all. It sounds like the small MIDI controller I have -- USB connected, 2 octaves, and able to input into Finale 2003. Neat setup, doesn't take up a lot of storage space (an issue in my small home) and makes inputting into Finale much faster. (Did you run into an Oxygen 8, by chance?
