I have your exact same setup, and I can assure you it works. Here are
some things to try.
1. Download the (free) Sibelius demo and see if you can get it to work
with MIDI. This is an easy way to test that your midi setup works in OSX
outside Finale.
2. Try going into the Hyperscribe click setu

Several of you have asked for my work-around for getting ties into
second endings to look right and play right. So here goes:
1) Use the Smart Shape Tool set for slurs attached to measures to
enter slurs to represent the ties. It helps to use a high viewing
percentage.

I really need a way to adjust the stem length of one layer in a mass edit
selection quickly. I know I can save some time by using Robert's Mass Copy,
but this is still too much work for such a simple task.
So if any of the plugin developers understand my need for this, this would
be really cool.
Similar problem.
Had to update my Midiman 2x2 driver from the website. This was
painless and worked fine after a restart.
Loaded some previous scores and the played back OK to my KBoard.
When I entered a new piece, 2 stave , 30 bars, and clicked to play
back, Finale quit!! Tried again - QUIT.
