Hi Darcy,
I suspect that there may be other issues with your duplexer like the
plastic tab. I have been successful printing double sided pages without the
horrible racket you mention but I have had the wrinkling I mentioned with
20 lb. paper and 24 lb paper. I suspect that I need to use 32 lb pa
24 lb. paper should work most of the time. Even 20 lb. paper shouldn't jam
EVERY time. I don't use a Ricoh 2610, but I've done a lot of double-sided
copying on a Canon copier (which is probably less sensitive to jamming than
a duplexer). I used to get about a 25% krinkle rate using 20 lb. paper;
Hi Burt,
Okay, I solved one problem -- in checking the packaging, I noticed that
one of the plastic tabs at the top of the unit had broken off. So I
applied some Krazy Glue, let it dry, tried again and -- hey, the
printer recognized the duplex unit now! Great!

Hi Johannes,
I have created .PS files using the drivers for both my real printer (HP
2200D) and a virtual printer (for large-format PDFs). I created both
of these printers from within Classic. I used the latest Adobe PS
drivers -- Apple's LaserWriter 8 drivers didn't work for me. I

Johannes,
I don't know about Fin2003, but with Fin2002 I have had no trouble
generating working .PS files from Classic. In fact, my regular
PDF-making procedure is to print to .PS file in Fin2002, then open the
.PS file in Preview, which automatically converts the file to PDF. The

For half measures I would suggest sticking to 3 dotted-quarter-rests,
since that will show the beats clearly.
For whole measures I agree the double-whole-rest would work fine.
