[Finale] Why is Simple Entry so ******* slow?

2004-03-10 Thread Blueyedtam64
When entering a simple melody (eight notes or quarter notes) it takes several seconds to redraw the screen, and it tries to redraw the whole screen every time I enter a note. This occurs even when all the successive measures are empty. I don't understand why it should redraw the previous

If it's any help, I find iKey to be much faster than Quickeys. There are some things it can't do though, for example iKeys can't hit the stop button on the playback controls while finale is playing, quickeys can. iKeys costs $20. steve On Mar 9, 2004, at 12:57 PM, John Hinchey wrote: To

I'm using WinFin 2k4b with XP and have not had this occur at all. All entries show as they should. I don't think this one is a Finale bug unless I've just gotten really lucky with mine. Hopefully, someone else has some insight into this. Rick - Original Message - From: K. Kastning

[Finale] Multiple Document Text Block Bug

2004-03-10 Thread Darcy James Argue
Hi all, This bug has been around since at least Mac Finale 2002, but it seems that if anything, it's even worse in Finale 2004. Periodically -- and unfortunately, I'm not able to reproduce it at will -- changing the content of a page-attached text block in one document will affect *all* open

Are you on Mac or Windows? On my windows machine (Win98se) I see no slowdown from previous versions. Are there extra unnecessary processes running in the background while you are working with Finale? David H. Bailey [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: When entering a simple melody (eight notes or

Turn off Simplify Spelling in the Chord menu. As simple as that. I swear I read through the whole manual for this. Thanks, Steve and Darcy. ___ Finale mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.shsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/finale
