Cheaper than QuicKeys, IIRC :-)

It does everything and more. The most recent update, v7, added tons of new
features. But, to be honest, most of them are a tad ‘geeky’. But, that being
said, it’s solid, well-written application. You will need to learn its
interface and how it does things, but it’s not a steep learning curve
I just did enough to program the simple key shortcuts I used the most. I
know it will do much, much more than I need. I am sure JD has far more
experience with it than I.

Hi JD and John,
Does Keyboard Maestro do all that QuicKeys does? If so, I’m in.
Thanks,

I agree fully with JD. I gave up on QuicKeys a while ago, and was lost
till someone here (quite possibly JD) recommended Keyboard Maestro. IMHO
it works very well.

I feel your pain Chuck. I was an ardent QK user until a while ago when I
realized it was becoming completely deprecated, and it is basically dead. I
tried iKey for a short while and then I switched to Keyboard Maestro.

Hi all,
A maintenance upgrade to El Capitan yesterday seems to have now finally
completely disabled QuicKeys (which had been limping along without Mac support
for a few years). Has anyone had any experience with yKey (used to be iKey)?
Or does anyone have fix to get QuicKeys to operate in 10
The beta seems to be working well. No problems on my end so far.

I might have set speedy tool to open automatically when selected.
If so, I can understand the reason of the trouble.
I will try later at home (because engaged in job with any relation

Thank you again.

From the look of your QK script, the last step " ] ", which is your
trigger, is most likely advancing the Speedy frame one bar, since
that's the keyboard command for that in Finale. Try a different,
more obscure trigger like maybe '" Cntl-] " and see if that solves
your issue.

I am trying to set QuicKeys command to write a double barline and open speedy

2. click (at the cursor, then call command to open the measure tool(QuicKeys c

Lawrence,
Automator is a scripting program (I think that's what one would call
it) that is part of Apple's OS X. It is not a separate program.

Many on this list use iKey. There was some disappointment about
version 2, but I think the problems have been sorted out. (The list
will correct me if I'm wrong.)

Honestly, that's a *huge* amount of CPU time, unless it's only a
peak.
