[Finale] measure number question

Dear Listers, I am doing a transcription that needs a special measure number. The situation is this: I have measure 108 and I need to add measure 108a as a safety vamp during the show. How is this done? I want the measure numbers to begin again at measure 109 Hope this is clear.

This is good advice in theory. In reality, it is a bad idea to exclude measures from regions by unchecking that box in the measure attributes - unpredictable things can happen so you really should avoid that. You absolutely can have numbers and letters in a measure region. Follow Aaron's

Usually, I put the measure numbers on the first staff (show on Top Staff, so that the numbers appear). Uncheck Measure numbers in the Staff Attribute Dialog Box. Before extracting the parts, I copy ONLY the Measure Number Items) from the first staff to each of the others. (You must copy from the

Greeting general knowledge base, FinMac2005 I can't believe I am doing this for the first time, but I want measure numbers to appear over the staff at the beginning of each system (no problem so far) AND where I specify, usually at double bars (this is the problem.) I can force a measure
