i heartily second the subject line.
i have saved settings for stem+beam alterations, articulations only,
measure-attached smart shapes and note-attached smart shapes as saved
settings.

Nope.
Example. Create an expression, then hit OK while Cmd is pressed. You
bypass the rest of the dialog boxes. This has been this way since v1.0
which I paid $1,000 for!

Are you talking about meas-attached shapes here? Is that what Fin06 doesn't
copy that prior versions did copy? I had hoped MM was gonna restore that in a
maintenance release, but perhaps not, huh?

The dialogue box remembers your settings, which I REALLY like.

Something that bothers me is when Finale combines rests on a partial measure
copy. For example, if I copy a beat consisting of two 16th notes
surrounding two 16th rests, Finale will combine the rests into a single 8th

Excuse a bunny daring to offer an answer- but I found Finale will not
believe, as described, if in "select partial measures' (edit menu) mode.
It works for me with dotted v tied notes, but I don't know about rests.
(I haven't got Finale handy to check up!)

I know this is annoying. Two things can help:
1. If you make sure that you copy whole measures, with no partial
measure selection, Finale should copy the measures exactly as you wrote
them.
2. Go to Options > Quantization Settings and click on More Settings.

Just drag from the start of the measure to the end of the measure --
watch the black outline carefully so you see it outlines the complete
measure you want and only the measure you want.
BUT, there's no need to drag-enclose just one measure, even with Partial
Measures turned on. To select one

David,
I didn't say that very well. What I was attempting to say is I don't know how to drag select a measure in its entirety and only that measure. What you describe is great and the main reason why I use "Select partial Measures".
Sorry for the confusion.
