I've been using Fink for a while now, and I recently realized that a lot
of files (several hundred of Mo worth) were not deleted after the
installation of the related packages. Those files can be found in :
- sw/fink/dists/stable/crypto/binary-darwin-powerpc/
- sw/fink/dists/sta

Hi everybody!
I have the most recent fink version, selfupdated just 5 minutes ago.
In the past, when I wanted to install from unstable, I simply would
copy the package's .info and .patch from the unstable tree into
"/sw/fink/dists/local/main/finkinfo".
However, it no longer seems to work for
first look at /sw/etc/fink.conf and make sure that your local
tree is enabled.
If it is enabled then you may have to do 'fink index' to make
sure that the package index is being updated with the new
package you added to your local tree.

I'm relativily new to Mac (OS X 10.1.4) and fink (0.3.2a), but doing my best to
get it to work.
However, I need a fortran compiler, and thought of using fort77 and the f2c
translator.
These where easy to install via fink, but I can't get cc to work - it seems
not to be installed.
