When I run dselect and do select, I get a screen full of garbage. If I hit 'q', it goes away and gives me the package list, but if I hit 'enter' on any of the packages, I get more garbage. See for the first screen. What's going on? -- __

If you are installing XFree86 via fink, then you need to remove the following directories (using "sudo rm"): sudo rm /Applications/XDarwin.app /usr/X11R6/bin /etc/X11 If this fails, please post back the _exact_ error message (i.e. copy it from the terminal output) that you get. Alexander K. Hans
