ncurses is part of finks base files. If you have a properly
installed fink, then it is there, there is no need for dselect.
The TekNap package was commit to the unstable tree the other

Hi, Peter __
I also tried uninstalling ncurses and reinstalling it through dselect, but
it never shows up in my available updates. Is there some other way to use
fink to install it?

Hi, Peter--
I was wondering if you had made any progress in creating the TekNap package,
and if so, had you been able to put it up somewhere?

Have a look at question 4.3 in the FAQ.
It identifies the problem, but doesn't tell you how to fix it. However,
since you have wiped out part of your OS X installation, you may need
to reinstall OS X. Does anyone have a less drastic solution?

One should tell Masanori about this, at least. I don't know if he
follows this list.

I have tried to install macosx-file-pm using
fink intall macosx-file-pm
and earned the response:
Failed: No mirror site list file found for mirror 'cpan'.
Note I have configured fink to use the unstable tree.
Your guidance is appreciated and thanks,

I had Numeric working fine with Python 2.2, and have now installed

I'm not sure there is an easy way out. If you simply uninstall
xfree86-rootless then you may wind up without an X server. The easiest
thing I can think to do is to uninstall xfree86-rootless, then update
system-xtools, and then reinstall xfree86-rootless.
