, I'm going to try setting the shell to /sw/bin/bash in the preferences and see if that sorts it out. I'm wondering if XDarwin calls on /etc/passwd for shells, but that file is only supposed to get called in single user mode. Anyway, if I figure anything out I'll post back. Matt
