Well, I'm at a loss for why /sw/bin/bash doesn't work, but /bin/bash
does without any problems. I tried adding /sw/bin/bash to /etc/shells
and didn't have any luck. I switched my default shell to /bin/bash,
updated my .bashrc to reflect the change and launched XDarwin from the
icon with the 'Use default shell' option checked; KDE launched just
fine. I'm going to stick with /bin/bash until I get a rainy day and can
play around with /sw/bin/bash :) I don't care really which bash gets
called, I'm just sick of using tcsh on this machine and bash on my linux
boxes.

Thanks for the suggestions,
Matt
