I ride my big gelding, Bjorken, in a 6" myler elbow driving bit with a solid low
wide port mouthpiece(MB15) I ordered it from Big Horse Tack and Feed in
California. It works great: he likes it, is comfortable and responds well: I

We ride both of ours in Myler comfort snaffles (one is a regular comfort
snaffle, one is a low port). We went through a lot of bits before finding
these
that seem to work great. I need to get something comparable for driving -
Joe is quite resentfu
he leaned on it. He seems to like the Myler and doesn't
usually lean on it.

Hi All,
I am about to buy a 5 1/2 D-ring Myler comfort snaffle and thought I would
email the list to see if any one has this bit sitting unused in their
tackroom and would be interested in selling. I am also looking for a Myler

I have a Myler elbow bit with a 6" Low port solid mouth for Bjorken. I
ride with it in the slot just below the snaffle setting but have used two
reins when trail riding to have the curb rein for more control . I rode

I recently bought a Myler bit for riding. I was using a KK Ultra
double jointed snaffle with loose rings. Even though it was 5 3/4"
it was not clearing Finnes fleshy lips and I worried that it pinched.
I was tired of buying $70 -$100 H

I recently ordered a myler bit for driving, and I must say I am very,
very pleased with it. I purchased it because I was getting some
resistance when I asked Elph to get on the bit. He would shake his head
and evade, and I think that the

I have and do ues Mylers. They work nicely for some horses and some others
don't like them. I do like that you can "lift" up a shoulder if you get the
ones that move every which way. :-)
The bit I like the best is the KK 3 piece tha

I use a Myler on my QH's and will eventually on my Fjords. I really like
them. They are not severe and have more give than other bits. They are not
inexpensive though.

Hi Claudia,
I use Myler bits with my miniature horses. The ones I have are nicely made
and well balanced.
My Fjord likes the HO H. Sprenger Driving bit best. Have no idea why she is
more happy with this bit, than any other,,,but what ever makes her

who does.they sound like a great idea , but I don't know anyone who
has experience with them.
I actually drive more than ride, although we do both.

Hi there! Has anyone had any experience with using myler bits with their
fjords? Any comments would be helpful.
Thanks. Tina and Erich, who doesn't seem to enjoy the nutcracker effect of
his snaffle.

can you tell me which bit you have and prefer? I looked at their website
and the draft bits are too big I am assuming. The western bits has some
with low ports. Isnt that what we need with fjords?
thanks

Hi Ya all,
I have three Myler bits and am not really impressed with any of them.
Several years ago, after quite a bit of research, I purchased a Mikmar
bit - the "combo". It looks atrocious. Big, heavy and clunky, but it
