I think he's just asking for the OPTION to remove it from HIS console. He's not trying to take it away from anyone. Why so defensive about personal choices with the console? The more options, the better! Changing foreground color = background color is a good workaround. I'll do that too. T

Tim; I think you get the prize for the record speed in which you posted a fix! I'll bet I looked at that Resources Tab on those ports twenty times tonight without seeing the magic 0378, so I got confused about where to look. I now see that I was looking at the COM1 port address not the LPT1 port
