my only comment on this is that i havent seen a 5V design in a few years! i'm doing an OC-768 fgpa job for a line rate frame analyzer that uses 800 millivolts for chip I/O and 400 millivolts for the core supply. i really miss the days were we needed 6.3 vac for filaments, 350 volts dc and 6V6's
