Greetings Bill,
The SDR-1000 has an auxillary X-2 connector, HD 15pin, located on the
back of the SDR-1000. These inputs and outputs are available to
drive a linear amplifier switching circuit. I have built a Poor
Man's UCB which plugs directly into this X-2 connector and provides 3

Bill,
The ATU unit is available from Flex-Radio and is field

oscillator optional.
Is there any chance that the TCXO actually a VCTCXO (Voltage Controlled
TCXO)? If so, then it will be relatively easy to lock the internal TCXO

It is just a matter of changing the keyboard shortcuts to do something else.
Do a search on our download page for Keymap and you will find a PDF with

While we don't have the final weight, they won't be that heavy. The chassis
is 100% aluminum and we will be using a high end switching supply.

FWIW, the "C" and "D" versions will be twice as large as FT-2000D and 1.3

hope not.

Yes, the sole required connection to the computer is the FireWire cable.

The Flex-5000 only requires a 1 cable [FIREWIRE] connection to the computer
